Would You Want Your Baby to be a Clone?

Conner, Steve. "Fertility Expert: 'I can clone a human being.' independent.co.uk. 22 April 2009. Web. 14 Sept. 2011.

This article went about to explain how an American fertility doctor attempted to create a human clone. Since there are cloning bans in most countries of the world, his secret laboratory was most likely located in the Middle East somewhere with no cloning ban. The author informs us on how this doctor had implanted many cloned embryos into the wombs of four women, but without a successful pregancy. He also disclosed information about how he created cloned embryos of three dead people and fused them with cow eggs emptied of their genetic information, but did not implant them into any women because it was a form of research and experimentation. The authors main intent for this article was to inform people of the most recent updates of the experimentations and research on cloning. There are no apparent biases in this article because the author took a neutral point on it. He did quite well on remaining neutral and simply stating the facts.

I found this article quite interesting, even though i'm not really interested in the topic of cloning. I think that this could possibly become a good topic for me if i researched it more. This topic could also be acceptable for others because, in my opinion, it grabs attention from readers. This isnt really something you hear about often, so if theres anything really big or major in the changes in the research of it, theres going to be some interesting articles about it.

  1. This sounds like a good topic, but it doesn't sound like the best article to get research from. This article talks about a specific instance of a doctor cloning, not cloning in general. You may be able to attain some information, but you would definitely need more articles if you were to write on this topic.
