Sexuality and nudity, violence, and religion are some of the many controversial topics of video games. The authors' intent of this article was to inform people of the topic and the intended audience would be anyone who wanted to read it. There are no apparent biases or fallacies. This was a very good article on this topic and it had a lot of information, although the examples of video games affecting real life seemed kind of bogus.

Controversy on Video Game Violence
http://electronics.howstuffworks.com/video-game-violence2.htm
Layton, Julia. "Do Violent Video Games Lead to Real Violence?" howstuffworks.com. n.d. n.p. Web. 13 Oct. 2011.
This article explains how there has been a lot of controversy on if playing violent video games will lead to living a violent lifestyle. It says that the game industry itself is trying to prevent small children from playing violent rated M games. This, however conflicts with the intents of the people marketing the games-they are willing to sell it to anyone who will pay. The authors intent for this article was to educate people a little on what the video game controversy is about. The intended audience would most likely be anyone who wanted to learn more about the topic. There is a slight bias of the author thinking that video games don't affect the lifestyle of a person, but there are no fallacies. This article had some information, but not enough to make a sound argument.

What's More Important, Protecting Our Flag or Our Constitution?
http://www.aclu.org/blog/free-speech/burn-flag-or-burn-constitution
Fulton, Sandra. "Burn the Flag or Burn the Constitution?" aclu.org. 1 Jul. 2011. n.p. Web. 5 Oct. 2011.
In this article the author explains the issue of flag desecration and that some people have proposed laws against it, but then that would go against our first ammendment, the freedom of speech. She goes on to question what flag desecration actually means and how Congress should enforce a law against it, because desecrating the flag can mean many different things. The authors intent for this article was to convince people that making a law against flag desecration would do no good for our country because of how vague the idea of it is, and the intended audience would be anyone who was interested. The author really puts things into perspective in a good and effective way.
I dont think this would be a very good topic for me because its not really something that interests me enough to research it further. This would be a good topic for people against flag desecration to read to get another point of view from, and for other people interested in this topic as well.

Morron, Jennifer. "Teen Curfew." gothamgazette.com. Mar. 2006. n.p. Web. 5 Oct. 2011.
This article is about how some people want citywide curfews for teens under 18. The author goes on to explain how if a teen under 18 is caught out past midnight they can be sent home and required to work 25 community service hours for a first offense and 50 hours for a second. Parents can also be fined for letting their children out without adult supervision for about $75 for the first offence. The authors intent for this article was to inform people with an unbiased opinion about the pros and cons of teen curfews and the intented audience was people interested in this topic. This was a good article to read and gives very good information on the ideas and opinions of people who are concerned with teen curfews.
This might be a good topic for me because, hey, im a teenager! And i most certainly have a curfew. I think that theyre a good idea, but that doesnt mean that i have to like them. This would be a good topic for anyone else interested with learning things about teen curfews.

Abortion
http://www.xomba.com/abortion_the_controversial_issue
Alaire. "Abortion: The Controversial Issue." www.xomba.com. 5 Sept. 2006. n.p. Web. 29 Sept. 2011.
In this article the author states many facts and opinions on abortion. Her own personal view is that sometimes abortion is necessary, even though its a very hard decision to make, and that women should not be condemned. She presents the many instances in which abortions might have to be necessary and the side effects of it. The authors intent for this article was to inform people of the facts and consequences of abortion, and her intended audience was anyone who would read the article. She also presents a very obvious bias of being pro-choice. This was a very emotional article to read and it stirs up a lot of emotions.
I think this would be a good topic for me because im pro-choice and it makes me feel better that other people share my views. This would be a good article for other people who are pro-choice because it states lots of facts and opinions about abortion and is trying to convince more people to be por-choice.
